Amiga

The Amiga, released in 1985, was a groundbreaking computer system that was ahead of its time. It featured a multitasking operating system, advanced graphics capabilities, and high-quality sound that made it a popular choice for both gaming and professional applications. Its library of games included classics like Lemmings, Speedball 2, and Sensible Soccer. The Amiga was also the first computer system to feature the ability to display 4096 colors on screen at once, making it a favorite of graphic designers and artists. Interestingly, the Amiga's design was inspired by a visit by its creators to Apple's headquarters. Despite its innovative features, the Amiga struggled to compete with the dominance of PC and Macintosh computers and was ultimately discontinued in the mid-1990s. Today, the Amiga retains a devoted fanbase of retro computing enthusiasts.
