The Witness (Untitled 1)

Jonathan Blow was one of the pioneering figures who kick-started the revolution in independent game development which began with his 2008 critical hit, Braid.

The Witness was his follow up adventure puzzle game which has similarly received widespread acclaim, not only for the challenging puzzles but also from its colourful art style and setting. Some influences came from games such as Mirror’s Edge, Team Fortress 2 and Journey. Blow’s team also engaged an architecture firm, Fourm Design Studio and a landscape architecture team, Fletcher Studio to develop the environments.

The colourful, postcard-esque landscapes translate into a great display piece.
