They began this process by pulling the raw sound from the original arcade game soundboards, before meticulously restoring and remastering the scores under the supervision and final approval of the original composer, Yoko Shimomura.
What this means is that it sounds exactly the way its composers intended it to be and it is the best the Street Fighter II arcade soundtrack has ever sounded. What makes this definitive, is that it has been published with almost 3 hours of music, across four LP’s, all lavishly packaged in a collector’s box and filled with art prints from Capcom’s archives.
