By the time Shantae released on the Game Boy Color in 2002, the Game Boy Advance had been out for a year – but players still took notice. Applauded for its phenomenal graphics and fantastic level design, Shantae eventually spawned a series, which is celebrated today for its great characters, smart puzzles, and extremely fun gameplay.
