      Got it for BattleChess

I have fond memories of playing BattleChess for PC (MS-DOS) as a kid. However, the version included here (for NES?) was new to me and is nowhere near as good. The animations seem to take far too long to complete, and they don't even take place on the chessboard. Instead, the screen cuts away to something like a classic Fire Emblem battle, except without the suspense because you already know who is going to win. I have to deduct a star because ultimately I was rather disappointed by this version. Couldn’t the Evercade emulate a 268 to play the superior version? There is an option to turn off the battle animations. This speeds the game up considerably, and is the only practical way to play IMO. It’s a bit sad, but it does the job I suppose. Turns still will take a few seconds. I’m not aware of the Evercade having any other version of Chess currently available. I can’t speak to the other games on this cartridge, as I’ve barely touched them. I played a demo of Earthworm Jim on PC back in the day but it wasn’t really my jam.
